Overview
Over the past 9 years Sniffers Group have worked closely with Earthfix Australia and have been involved in the design and construction to import in excess of 500,000 cubic metres of material to place and compact and achieve level 1 certification. We were given the task in 2018 to remediate the old fish farm where all topsoil was first stripped and stockpiled and was later tested to create a blend of 4 parts soil, 1 part sand and 1 part organics to an Australian standards soil to be used back onsite with 1.2 kilometres of batters topsoiled, mulched and planted with Australian native trees, shrubs and grasses and over 200,000 square metres of paddocks topsoiled and grass seeded.

Site Remediation
Site preparation includes providing a geofabric underlay to compacted ground with a gradient of >400mm every 10 metres across the designated nursery site. Ground preparation will ensure surface flow and irrigation run-off containment. On site storage of materials and soil mediums in composting bays for soil medium recycling after composting.
Aided in meticulously collecting and clearing 150,000+ tyres from every pond and bank on the 70 acre property and placed them all in one spot to be fed through a shredder. These will be transported off site to hopefully be recycled and put into bitumen or rubber mats
Created the compacted ground as a means to plant native plants
Designed and created multiple batters onsite that incorporate waterponds into them to retain water in the dry times. They hold moisture in the batters for the trees and act as a haven for the wildlife
Brung in thousands of tonnes of material to be placed and compacted with the right amount of moisture content, then tested at every 500mm layer to achieve a geotechnical standards Level 1 Compliance and the batter is then cut back to design levels.

Recycled Materials
Earthfix recycles a range of materials, including concrete, topsoil, clean fill, unsuitable soil, green waste, and non-contaminated vacuum excavation mud. These materials are processed in their state-of-the-art facilities to produce a range of high-quality products, including concrete blocks, crushed concrete and, organic soil products.
Sniffers Group playes a part in transporting these recycled materials to and from job sites along with feeding the crusher with the concrete material
